Advent is meant to be in part a season to prepare for celebrating Christmas, the festival that marks the Son of God coming among us as a baby. Yet, it is also a time to remember that Jesus will come again

Christ the King (Luke 23:33-43)
This week our Bible teaching focuses on Jesus as the King on the cross. There will be all the normal music, singing, prayers and teaching along with the regular children’s groups.

Work Hard, (2 Thes. 3:6-13)
Our service this Sunday is a Holy Communion with all the normal children’s groups running. It is also our Generous Giving Sunday, so please remember to bring your response form, if you had one by picking up an envelope. Our themes is ‘Work Hard’ and we will be looking at 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13.

Remembrance Sunday, (Job 19:23-27a; 2 Thes. 2:1-8)
Our service this Sunday will have a slide show of those on our board of remembrance showing from 10:40am. The service itself will start at 10:55am, to allow for the Last Post at 11am. The normal children’s groups will be running.

It is easy to forget what a tragedy war brings to countries and people, although you only have to look at what has happened in Gaza to see the true horror that war brings to people. Families have lost everything: loved ones, homes, livelihoods, even hope.

Perseverance and Faith (2 Thessalonians 1:1-12)
This week we begin a mini-series on the short letter of 2 Thessalonians. We are also delighted to be baptising baby Grace. The service will have all the normal praise, prayer and teaching from God’s word and the children’s groups will be running as normal.
