The Parable of the Tenants (Matthew 21:33-end)

This Sunday, all the children’s groups are running. We return to our series on the Parables in Matthew’s gospel with the Parable of the Tenants.

Harvest (Deuteronomy 8:7-18)
This Sunday, we celebrate Harvest with an interactive All Age service. Please bring non-perishable food for the Salvation Army food bank and cash for the collection to help Tearfund’s Venezuella Earthquake appeal.

The Parable of the Vineyard Workers (Matthew 20:1-16)
Our focus this Sunday is another of Jesus’ Parables from Matthew’s gospel that focuses on the meaning of grace. This week is a communion service and all the children’s groups will be running.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant (Matthew 18:21-35)
This week we look at another of Jesus’ parables in Matthew’s gospels, that tackles the issue of forgiving others. Our children’s groups are back as normal, apart from Sparklers. However, the vestry will be set up for activities for pre-school children for children and parents to use during the service if they want to.

The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Matthew 18:10-20)
This Sunday, our children’s and young people’s groups relaunch with a party for all age groups in the main hall of the church. The theme for our service in church is ‘The Parable of the Lost Sheep’ as we begin a series looking at some of the stories Jesus told from Matthew’s gospel.

lsrael’s Choice (Joshua 24:14-28)
This Sunday is the last on our series on the book of Joshua. This is a baptism service. For our summer service there will be activities available for the older children in the service and for the younger children in the vestry. Normal children’s groups return in September.
