Care for others (Matthew 25:31-46)
This Sunday is a communion service with all the normal children’s and young people’s groups running. Join us as we consider together the last in our Advent series.
“Do I treat other people, as though they are Jesus?” This is the thrust of the last of the stories that Jesus tells to help us consider whether we are ready for his return in Matthew 25.
Use your gifts (Matthew 25:14-30)
This Sunday we welcome the family and godparents of Eloise for her baptism. There will be the normal praise, prayer and teaching and all the children’s groups will be running.
Last week we saw that Advent is a season for making sure we are ready. Not just to celebrate Jesus’ first coming at Christmas, but more importantly to be ready for when he returns again to bring both judgement and a new heaven and new earth. During this time we are encouraged to think about whether we are living lives that will please Jesus he returns. One of the questions I said we need to consider is: “Am I using the gifts and talents God gave me as I should?”
Advent Sunday (Matthew 25:1-13)
This week is a Joint Service with St. George’s at St. Luke’s, 11am as normal. It is an All Age, although Sparklers our group for pre-schoolers will be running as normal. We will be remembering that Jesus is coming and asking whether we will be ready.
