3rd December Notices
Advent is a time of looking forward. For most people these days it is a count down to Christmas, perhaps using an Advent calendar or just longing for all the busyness and preparation to be over and for time to relax. For Christians, however, Advent is more than just the lead up to Christmas. It is an opportunity to reflect on our lives from the perspective of eternity.

Christmas Fair
The Social Events team will be holding a Christmas Fair in St. Luke’s Church on Saturday 9th December from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Do come along, enjoy the fun and bring friends and family.
Sunday 19th November – Livestream
This week is a Holy Communion service, with the normal prayer, praise and Bible teaching. There will be the normal children’s groups operating. The adult’s will be looking at Paul’s teaching on sexual morality in 1 Corinthians 6:9-20.

Music to Entertain
This Sunday 3pm! Concert with Thanet Light Orchestra including music from films including: Lord of the Rings, My Fair Lady, the Sound of Music and the Lion King. Tickets only £5 in advance!
Sunday 12th November – Livestream
This week is Remembrance Sunday. The service will start with a two minutes silence at 11am, so please turn up by 10:55am. The rest of the service will include the normal children’s groups, songs, prayers and Bible Teaching.

At the Community Meal at St. George’s Hall on Tuesdays, there is normally a quiz. This week Trevor Clarke produced one on the theme of Remembrance. The first two questions asked, “Where is the tomb of the unknown soldier in Paris and in London?” ….
