Sunday 1st September, 11:00am – Livestream

This week’s theme is the secret of wisdom as we focus on Solomon, Israel’s wisest king. This is the last of our summer holiday services in which our children will be going out during the service looking at heroes and friends of the bible (DVD).

Sunday 25th August, 11:00am – Livestream

This week’s theme is the armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-20). Come along and find out how to be equipped for life’s spiritual battles. Our children will be going out during the service looking at heroes and friends of the bible (DVD).

Claire’s Farewell

Thank you to all who attended and contributed to giving Claire such a good send off last Sunday.

Sunday 18th August, 11:00am – Livestream

This Sunday is Claire’s last Sunday with us and we will be celebrating Holy Communion together. Claire will also be preaching on 1 Ki. 2:10-12; 3:3-14 and the wisdom of Solomon. Our children will be going out during the service looking at heroes and friends of the bible (DVD).

This Sunday in our morning worship, using John 6:60-69, we see Jesus answering questions from the crowds and disciples in the wake of his radical statements about who he is after feeding the 5,000. Our children will be going out during the service looking at heroes and friends of the bible (DVD).

This Sunday is an All Age service and baptism. We will be asking why does Jesus walk on water?

This week is the first of our summer services. It is a Holy Communion and the children will be joining us for the normal part of the service, but will go out to watch a Friends and Heroes episode in the vestry for part of the service. This week we also have Beth, our new curate, preaching her first sermon at St. Luke’s on the feeding of the 5,000.

Summer Fair, 31st August

Join us for the summer fair at St. Luke’s church from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday 31st August. The fair will take place inside and outside the church on the corner of St. Luke’s Avenue and Hollicondane Road, CT11 7JX. Money raised will go toward St. Luke’s and St. George’s church funds.
