General Election Hustings – 24th June

St. Luke’s in Ramsgate is hosting a General Election Hustings. This will be held at 7:30pm on Monday 24th June. We will be livestreaming the event. It is now too late to submit questions in advance (as of 9am Sunday 23rd).

The doors will open at 7pm and refreshments will be available until the start at 7:30pm. We will aim to finish by 9pm. There is no need to book, but we will be taking down names of all attending on arrival.

We have confirmed that the following will be on the panel for this East Thanet constituency hustings:

  • Helen Harrison (Conservative candidate)
  • Steve Roberts (Green Party candidate)
  • Jai Singh (Liberal Democrat candidate)
  • Polly Billington (Labour Candidate)
  • Paul Webb (Reform UK candidate)

There are also three Independent Candidates standing for election in the constituency:

However, the decision was made before knowing who would be standing in the constituency to limit the number of candidates invited to the hustings to five. This was in order to allow time for a reasonable number of questions to be asked and time for the candidates to answer the questions. Priority has been given to those candidates representing parties who have the highest ratings in the national polls.

We will use a representative sample of questions submitted by local residents. Ideally, we would like those asking the questions to ask them themselves at the hustings.
