Thanet is recognised as one of the most disadvantaged areas in Kent, with some of the most disempowered and vulnerable children in the county.  There is an incredible need for effective work in this area and a massive opportunity to bring hope to these children, families and communities.

Fegans seeks to work in partnership with schools to meet the social, emotional and spiritual needs of schoolchildren and it tailors its services as appropriate.  Fegans aim is to provide a Schools+ service to every primary school in Ramsgate and Broadstairs (in the Thanet 2 cluster as defined by the Local Education Authority).  It has a vision to empower parents and offer courses, coaching and support for specific issues, such as the Freedom Programme for women affected by domestic violence.

Fegans' One Sixty centre is located on the edge of the Whitehall estate.  This is one of the more deprived areas of Ramsgate and there is a great need for resources to support children and families.  It seeks to run a needs-led centre, in partnership with churches and other agencies with a desire to transform this area.
